The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) will be organising a SME Briefing on Government Support Programmes and HR Solutions. At this briefing, SAP Asia will share on the needs for employee retention and engagement to stay competitive and relevant amidst the tight labour market among Singapore SMEs. SAP Asia will address these issues and share how you can better manage your workforce by building up your employer branding and establish a strong culture of engagement.
The success of an organisation is often dependent on the success of its people. RMI will take you through the challenges of hiring a diverse workforce and its associated risks in our current landscape and will consider how well we really know the people that we hire. Key aspects will be discussed on how such risks can be mitigated through a robust on-boarding programme and through the ongoing management of your workforce with a compliance mind set.
SMEs could develop a strong Singaporean core in a manpower-lean economy through enhanced programmes under the Adapt & Grow Initiative announced by the Ministry of Manpower. In addition to sharing on employment facilitation assistance for SMEs, Workforce Singapore will brief on the various programmes such as Career Support Programme, Work Trial, Careers Connect and Jobsbank.
Lastly, SNEF will introduce the P-Max Place-and-Train Programme which aims to facilitate the entry of PMETs into suitable SME jobs and help SMEs better cope with the challenges of talent recruitment in an increasingly tight labour market. Upon successful completion of the programme, SMEs will be eligible for a one-time Assistance Grant of $5000. Participants will also learn about how the Professional Conversion programme can help jobseekers to reskill and acquire necessary knowledge and competencies to take on new jobs. Eligible companies will receive training grants and salary support of up to $36,000.
