The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) will be organising a SME Workshop on Re-inventing HR policies and practices to take advantage of the experience of Older Workers on Wednesday, 12 February 2020.
At this session, employers will learn how to develop and implement HR strategies to better suit the SMEs and mature PMETs to achieve business goals.
(a) Understand the characteristics and potential of older workers
(b) They key strengths of older workers
(c) Helping older workers to transit from traditional career to protean career
(d) Characteristics of protean career pattern and its relevance to older workers
(e) How HR policies and practices can be re-invented to take advantage of the experience of older workers
(f) Examples of possible areas of HR policies and practices can be re-invented
After which, employers will also hear how the various support schemes under Adapt and Grow initiative can better recruit, train and retain your PMETs.
(a) The P-Max Place-and-Train Programme aims to facilitate the entry of PMETs into suitable SME jobs. Upon completion of the programme, companies will receive a one-time Assistance Grant of $5,000. Companies applying under the P-Max track for Singapore Citizens PMETs aged ≥ 50 would be entitled to an additional $5,000 assistance grant capped at $10,000 per company.
(b) To help Singapore Citizens adapt to changing job demands and enhance their employability, the enhanced Career Support Programme (CSP) offer support for eligible Singapore Citizen PMETs with salary support up to a cap of $42,000 for up to 18 months.
(c) The Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) for Professional Executives aims to help jobseekers reskill and acquire necessary knowledge and competencies to take on new jobs. Eligible companies will receive training grants and salary support of up to $18,000.
