The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) will be organising a SME HR Series – National Wages Council Guidelines for 2019/2020 & Government Assistance Schemes on Training.

At this session, the Lifelong Learning Institute would like to invite employers to an exclusive preview of their newly renovated facility; The LLearning Express – an experiential learning concept space designed with the users in mind to encourage learning, cultivate collaboration and inspire ideation and innovation.  Equipped with smart technology, our thematic learning spaces aim to transform the way learning takes place and to create a conducive learning environment and experience.

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) will be sharing on how enterprises can benefit from the various SkillsFuture Initiatives, including Skills Framework and related training programmes. SMEs could develop a strong Singaporean core in a manpower-lean economy through enhanced programmes under the Adapt & Grow Initiative. In addition to sharing on employment facilitation assistance for SMEs, Workforce Singapore will brief on the various programmes such as Enhanced Career Support Programme, Career Trial and Jobsbank.

SNEF will also share on 2 programmes by under the Adapt and Grow Initiative, one of which is the P-Max Place-and-Train Programme which aims to facilitate the entry of PMETs into suitable SME jobs and help SMEs better cope with the challenges of talent recruitment in an increasingly tight labour market. Upon successful completion of the programme, SMEs will be eligible for a one-time Assistance Grant of $5,000. The other programme would be the Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) which aims to help jobseekers reskill and acquire necessary knowledge and competencies to take on new jobs. Eligible companies will receive training grants and salary support of up to $18,000. Lastly, SNEF will also share on the National Wages Council Guidelines for 2019/2020. A copy of the NWC Guidelines will be distributed at this session.
