In collaboration with WSG and SCALA, the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) will be organising a Webinar on Employment Support and Government Assistance Programmes for Companies on Fri, 24th Jul 2020. SMEs can develop a strong Singaporean core in a manpower-lean economy through enhanced programmes under the Adapt & Grow Initiative announced by the Ministry of Manpower. In addition to sharing on employment facilitation assistance for SMEs, Workforce Singapore will brief on the various programmes such as Enhanced Career Support Programme, Enhanced Hiring Incentive and Career Trial. Following which, SNEF will be sharing on the P-Max Place-and-Train Programme. This programme aims to facilitate the entry of PMETs into suitable SME jobs. Upon completion of the programme, companies will receive a one-time Assistance Grant of $5,000. In addition, Companies applying under the P-Max track for Singapore Citizens PMETs aged ≥ 50 would be entitled to an additional $5,000 assistance grant (capped at $10,000 per company). Lastly, To support businesses tackling manpower and cost concerns, the Supply Chain and Logistic Academy (SCALA) will introduce the Professional Conversion Programme that provide training and up to 90% salary support for companies hiring or undergoing manpower redeployment.
